East Central Railway earns record Rs 22,400 crore revenue

With focus on infrastructure development in the ongoing 2022-23 fiscal, the East Central Railway (ECR) has registered a record earning of Rs 22,400 crore in the current fiscal till January 27.

Revenue earning is said to be all time high as compared to total earning of Rs 22,282 crore from both goods and passenger segments during the 2021-22 fiscal.

According to ECR chief public relations officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar, the ECR revenue earning in the current fiscal has made an exponential increase which is marginally higher than the stipulated target set by the Railway Board. The Board has also set the target of Rs 240 crore for ECR to earn from scrap sale.
