Y. Balaji Kiran Assumes Additional Charge as Chief PRO of South Coast Railway

Y. Balaji Kiran, a 2013-batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, has taken additional charge as the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the South Coast Railway (SCoR) as of May 2026.

Since November 2025, Mr. Balaji Kiran has been serving as the Deputy General Manager-cum-Secretary to the General Manager of South Coast Railway. His previous roles include Senior Divisional Operations Manager for the Guntakal Division and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager for the Secunderabad and Hyderabad Divisions.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Sri Kalahasteeswara Institute of Technology (SKIT), Srikalahasti, as well as an MBA from Osmania University. Additionally, he has earned Master’s degrees in Political Science and Industrial Relations.

A native of Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Balaji Kiran worked as a software engineer in Singapore before joining the Indian Civil Services. He is also the founder of the NGO Asaya and former director of the Sri Chaitanya IAS Academy in Delhi.
