Okalipuram Railway Underpass Construction Resumes, Targeted for Completion Within 25 Days

The construction work on the Okalipuram railway underpass in Bengaluru has recommenced, with a directive to complete the pending activities within 25 days. This development was confirmed following a review led by M. Maheshwar Rao, Chief Commissioner of the Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA), who emphasized expediting the project to meet the revised timeline.

The underpass forms a critical component of the Okalipuram eight-lane corridor, designed to enhance traffic flow and connectivity in this busy urban sector. The corridor passes beneath the Chennai railway line, necessitating careful engineering and coordination with Indian Railways to ensure uninterrupted rail operations during construction.
