IRCON International Marks Golden Jubilee, Celebrates 50 Years of Nation-Building Excellence

IRCON International Limited celebrated its 50th Foundation Day on April 28, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marking five decades of contribution to India’s railway and infrastructure development.

The Golden Jubilee celebration brought together senior officials from the Ministry of Railways, IRCON’s leadership team, industry stakeholders, employees, and members of the wider IRCON family.

As part of the event, IRCON launched a commemorative coffee table book highlighting its 50-year journey. The company also unveiled its internal magazine, Navnirmaan, along with a special film showcasing its landmark projects, engineering milestones, and institutional achievements.

The occasion also included an award ceremony recognising employees and project teams for long-standing service and outstanding contributions. The evening concluded with a musical performance by Kumar Sanu, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Ajit Kumar Mishra, Director (Works).

Established in 1976, IRCON has grown from a railway construction company into a diversified infrastructure organisation with capabilities across railways, highways, metro systems, tunnels, railway electrification, electronic interlocking, tunnel communication, and complex EPC projects.

Now a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways, IRCON has delivered around 405 projects in India and more than 130 projects across 25 countries. Its notable projects include the Pir Panjal Rail Tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir, along with major railway and infrastructure works across India and overseas markets including Malaysia, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

As it enters its next phase, IRCON aims to strengthen its role in India’s infrastructure growth, expand into new sectors, and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
