Notably, Shri Deouskar had previously held this additional charge for three weeks in September 2025, alongside his primary role as General Manager of Eastern Railway.
An officer of the Indian Railway Management Service from the 1987 batch of the Indian Railway Stores Service, Shri Deouskar has held several key executive and management roles within Indian Railways. His roles include Additional Divisional Railway Manager and Divisional Railway Manager of the Pune Division, Secretary to the Railway Board, Principal Chief Materials Manager at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, Chief Materials Manager for Central Railway, and Chief Materials Manager at Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
Shri Deouskar is a Mechanical Engineer and an alumnus of Maulana Azad College of Technology (formerly REC and now National Institute of Technology), Bhopal. He has also undergone advanced management training at INSEAD, Singapore/Malaysia, and attended a workshop on strategic management at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Apart from his professional career, he has a strong interest in sports and cultural activities and has actively supported their development within the railway community.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Shri Milind K Deouskar received a National Level Railway Award from the Hon’ble Railway Minister in 2003.
