The meeting covered several critical projects, including Road Over Bridges (ROBs), Road Under Bridges (RUBs), Foot Over Bridges (FOBs), and new railway line developments within the Bengaluru and Mysuru divisions.
In Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency, 32 ROB and RUB projects aimed at improving connectivity are underway. Key locations featuring these bridges include Panditanahalli, Maidala, Baddihalli, Batavadi, Heggere, Mallasandra, Benchegere, Nittur-Mysuru, Nandihalli Gate, and the BH Road corridor. Work on these bridges is at various stages, and the minister directed officials to complete all by the 2026-27 financial year.
The review also covered the 191-kilometer Tumakuru-Chitradurga-Davangere railway project, with an estimated cost of Rs 1,801 crore. Officials reported that over 92% of land acquisition is complete, and the Urukere-Thimmarajanahalli section is ready for commissioning pending CRS inspection. The project is targeted for completion by February 2028.
Regarding the Rs 2,496-crore Tumakuru-Rayadurg railway project, 83 kilometers of the line have already been commissioned. Land acquisition stands at approximately 97%, and the Pavagada-Dodda Halli section is poised for inauguration soon.
