For the financial year 2025–26, the division was recognized for its outstanding performance and emerged as the joint winner of the ‘General Manager’s Inter-Divisional Overall Efficiency Shield’. This prestigious award, given for all-round excellence, was shared with the Palakkad division.
In addition to the overall efficiency accolade, Thiruvananthapuram Division received several other honors including the Safety Efficiency Shield, Best Maintained Health Unit, Accounts Efficiency Shield (jointly with Palakkad division), and the Personnel Efficiency Shield (jointly with Tiruchchirappalli division).
Divyakant Chandrakar, the Divisional Railway Manager of Thiruvananthapuram, accepted the awards during the official ceremony.
These awards highlight the division’s commitment to operational efficiency, safety, financial management, personnel administration, healthcare services, and overall service delivery.
Further recognition was given to several officers and staff members who were honored with the Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar 2026 for their meritorious service and exemplary contributions in their respective fields.
