IRCTC to Launch New Website by July 15, 2026, Following Passenger Complaints

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that a new IRCTC website will be launched by July 15, 2026. This decision follows concerns raised by students about difficulties encountered during online ticket bookings.

During an interaction with students, issues were highlighted regarding the current portal’s CAPTCHA system and overall booking experience. Promptly responding to these complaints, Minister Vaishnaw directed officials to develop a revamped platform within 30 days.

The upcoming IRCTC website aims to provide a smoother booking process, enhanced performance, and a more user-friendly interface to benefit millions of railway passengers across India.

In addition to addressing digital ticketing concerns, Minister Vaishnaw shared updates on railway investments in Rajasthan during his visit to Jaipur. He revealed that the state’s railway budget has increased substantially from around Rs 600 crore before 2014 to Rs 10,228 crore at present.

Work is currently underway at more than 200 railway stations in Rajasthan, focusing on improvements such as platform height adjustments, platform extensions, and new passenger shelters. Moreover, nearly 85 stations are being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Jaipur Railway Station is a major project in this scheme, undergoing significant modernization with upgraded passenger facilities and infrastructure.

Minister Vaishnaw emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening railway infrastructure, digital services, and enhancing passenger convenience nationwide.
